Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) has launched a new social awareness project called "Şirin qorxusu" ("Fear of a lion") for a healthy future, sponsored by AS Holdings.
As part of the project, ACF first held awareness sessions at Ganja city A. Javad secondary school No. 2, M. Sh. Vazeh secondary school No. 16, M. Fuzuli secondary school No. 22, N. Huseynov secondary school No. 38, and Ganja Judo Training Center.
During the sessions, children were informed about the harms of sugar through interactive training, experiments, games, and presentations.
As part of the campaign, children had the opportunity to participate in free judo classes for a month. In addition, participants were presented with educational and motivational gifts, certificates, and special coupons.
It should be noted that this initiative not only serves to combat the harms of sugar, but also to form long-term habits in children related to a love of sports and a healthy lifestyle.
The main goal of the campaign is to promote a healthy lifestyle, increase awareness about the harmful effects of sugar, highlight the problems associated with excessive sugar consumption in children, reduce ignorance in this area, and instill healthy habits in children in fun and creative ways.
Observations conducted in recent years show that the amount of sugar in children's daily diet exceeds the norm. This leads to serious complications such as physical weakness, tooth decay, concentration problems, and obesity. Many parents and children are not aware of these risks.
The project will cover Baku as well as regions. For detailed information about the project, you can contact the ACF hotline at 8558.
