Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan was a sponsor and participant of the "International Agro Business Forum-2024" event

On February 20-21, the Association of Small and Medium Business Entities and Clubs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and "AGRO TV Azerbaijan", in partnership with the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized the "International Agro Business Forum-2024" in Baku. Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan was the sponsor and participant of this event.

The opening of the event held at "Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard" took place with the speech of state officials. In the 1st panel of the forum, Director of Agrarian Innovation Center Anar Jafarov, Chairman of Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan Board of Directors, Dr. Selchuk Demir, Deputy Chairman of Agrarian and Development Agency (AKIA) Mehman Ismayilov and other speakers spoke. In his report, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan Dr. Selchuk Demir talked about the relationship of financial institutions with the agricultural sector and talked about Turkiye's experience in this field.

The chairman of the bank drew attention to the importance of agriculture for the country and informed about the importance of technological development and the effective use of scientific and technical achievements in agriculture. In his report, Selchuk Demir gave information about Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan's financial support for the development of agriculture in our country and successes they have achieved. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan spoke about the investment opportunities of important companies operating in this field in Turkiye and expressed his views on the measures to be taken regarding their attraction.

At the event, speakers held extensive discussions on strengthening cooperation between SMEs operating in the agricultural sector, attracting investors to Azerbaijan and increasing sales opportunities of companies.
