"Yay Fest" with the participation of more than 2000 young people has been successfully concluded
The biggest youth festival of Azerbaijan "Yay Fest" has ended successfully. The festival, which took place in a fun, educational and dynamic atmosphere with the participation of more than 2000 young people in total, consisted of eight consecutive camps according to different thematic topics.
The festival in the format of a tent camp was held in Shamakhi with the support of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, IDEA Public Union, COP29 Presidency, the Union of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations, the Union of Azerbaijan Volunteer Organizations, the “CAVAN” Youth Movement Public Union, and the Young Volunteers Public Union.
It is worth noting that, following President Ilham Aliyev’s Order, the year 2024 has been declared the Year of Solidarity for a Green World in Azerbaijan and taking into account the importance of our country hosting such a prestigious COP29 event, the topics chosen in this year's camp are dedicated to ecology, environmental protection and COP29.
The main purpose of the "Yay Fest" held under the slogan "Together for a Greener Future!" was to promote the wide range of opportunities created for young people in various fields in accordance with the state youth policy, to support the development of young people and efficient and fun spending of their free time, as well as networking and socialization of young people from different regions.
Every camp of "Yay Fest" which started on July 15 was unforgettable, fun, memorable and educational for the youth. Environmental games, team work, hiking and fun activities organized in the bosom of nature gave young people an interesting and educational experience. Also, the camp participants got to know their peers from different regions, established new friendships and once again understood the importance of networking and socializing. An interesting and dynamic program designed for young people has contributed to their effective leisure time and personal and professional development. Trainings and interactive activities conducted by "IDEA" Public Union within the framework of the camp not only increased the environmental awareness of young people, but also encouraged their responsible approach to environmental issues.
