Yay Fest festival uniting Azerbaijani youth continues successfully
“The Yay Fest” festival uniting Azerbaijani youth is successfully continuing.
Camp V of the festival, which started in a cheerful, informative, and dynamic atmosphere, is coming to an end. This year's “Yay Fest”, which will be attended by more than 2,000 young people in total, is held with the support of the Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan, a joint organization of the IDEA Public Association, the Chairmanship of COP29, the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan, the Union of Volunteer Organizations of Azerbaijan, the Public Association of Youth Movement “CAVAN” and the Public Association “Young Volunteers”.
The main objective of “Yay Fest”, which is held in the format of a tent camp, following the state youth policy, is to provide young people with wide opportunities in various spheres and promote their development. At the same time, to ensure that young people spend their leisure time effectively and interestingly and to support communication between young people from different regions.
It should be especially noted, considering the importance of declaring 2024 in the Republic of Azerbaijan as the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” according to the order of President Ilham Aliyev and holding such a prestigious event as COP29 in Azerbaijan, the themes chosen in this year's camp were dedicated to ecology, environmental protection, and COP29.
YayFest V Camp, which started on July 15, was unforgettable, fun, memorable, and informative for young people. In the program of the camp, which includes the International Youth Day, the education of young people in the spirit of patriotism and activities that contribute to its development were of special importance.
Young people from brotherly Türkiye also took part in the V camp “YayFest”. The training and interactive events organized by the IDEA NGO as part of the camp helped to raise environmental awareness among young people and promote their responsible approach to environmental safety. Outdoor environmental games, teamwork, hiking, and recreational activities provided young people with an interesting and educational experience. Concert and entertainment programs were organized for the youth every evening.
The camp participants also got acquainted with the youth of brotherly Türkiye, and peers from different regions, made new friendships, and once again realized the importance of networking. The interesting and exciting program developed for young people contributed to both effective leisure time and personal and professional development.
YayFest, a summer festival filled with youthful energy, is rich in training opportunities to create a fun and dynamic environment for young people. The festival, which has been running since 2019, will last for two months and will consist of a series of camps with different themes. As in previous years, this year, eight consecutive themed camps corresponding to the themes are planned. In total, more than 2,000 young people are expected to participate in this festival and the organizers have created all the necessary facilities for the campers.
