With ABB’s partnership, the Entrepreneur of the Year was selected!

The “EY Entrepreneur of the Year” competition, held for the sixth year in Azerbaijan, has concluded. The winner was announced during the grand ceremony held on February 20 at the JW Marriott Absheron hotel. The main winner of the competition was Gulbaniz Mammadova, the head of Princeps Legem company.
She will represent Azerbaijan in the international stage of the "World Entrepreneur of the Year" competition. The winner was selected by an independent jury composed of representatives from the business community, international financial institutions, and renowned company leaders, from among 12 participants.
Additionally, Kamran Salayev, the head of Spektr Group, won in the "Industry Leader" category, Bahruz Rustamov, the head of Upsystems, won in the "Innovation" category, Elchin Aliyev, the head of Regional Hospital, won in the "Regional Development" category, and Sabina Gazizadeh, the head of SDA Consulting, won in the "Excellence in Women Entrepreneurship" category.
Taleh Tahirli, Deputy Chairman of the Board of ABB, reminded the audience during the competition’s gala night that the bank has been supporting this competition for six years: “The business environment changes every day, and technologies accelerate the transition to new stages of entrepreneurship. As ABB, we are always by our entrepreneurs’ side to make them stronger and more competitive in this new era. ABB’s new ABB Biz application, digital financial solutions, and artificial intelligence-based services enable entrepreneurs to make faster decisions and manage financial flows more effectively.”
The “EY Entrepreneur of the Year” competition, founded by EY, has been held since 1986. It is currently held in over 60 countries and is considered one of the world’s most prestigious business awards. The goal of the "EY Entrepreneur of the Year" program is to showcase the achievements of high-potential entrepreneurs. In addition to ABB, bp also provides sponsorship support for the competition. The program's partners include Ekvita consulting company, Azpromo (the Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promotion Agency), and the Azerbaijan Professional Financial Managers Association.
