The winners of "AZERCELL CUP 2024" competition have been determined
The final stage of "AZERCELL CUP 2024" competition organized within the framework of the joint cooperation of "Azercell Telecom", the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Education was held.
31 students from Baku, Ganja, Sumgait, Guba, Goychay, Khachmaz and Balakan schools showed high results in "AZERCELL CUP 2024", which aims to support the development of schoolchildren in the field of informatics and computer sciences. According to the terms of the competition, the winners will be involved in preparatory classes for the international Olympiads on informatics from the next academic year.
It should be noted that the 3-stage competition was organized using two programming languages (Python and C++) in order to measure the algorithmic thinking of 6th-7th grade students. A trial test was also held to familiarize schoolchildren with the competition environment. In total, 2009 people applied for the test round and the first stage of the competition. More than 5000 solutions were evaluated during the competition. Based on the results, 165 people qualified for the semi-final round, and 51 distinguished persons qualified for the final.
Since 2017, the preparation process for the international olympiads on informatics has been carried out with support of "Azercell Telekom" LLC. During this period, our students from Azerbaijan's regions and capital schools won a total of 70 medals in programming competitions of different scales for different age groups.
