The second stage of the "Best Managed Companies Azerbaijan 2024" competition, held with the support of PASHA Bank, has been launched
The second stage of the "Best Managed Companies Azerbaijan 2024" business competition, held in partnership with the leading corporate financial institution of Azerbaijan "PASHA Bank" and "Deloitte Azerbaijan", has been launched.
It should be noted that within the second stage of the competition, business meetings are held with the participating companies and discussions are held according to the main evaluation criteria of this project. During the trainings, specially formulated questions are answered, experience and information of internationally operating companies are shared. It is at this stage that the full potential of the participating companies is revealed.
According to the rules of the competition, the management of the participating companies is evaluated by an independent jury based on four criteria - strategy, human capital development, commitment and financial indicators.
Thus, the main goal of the project is to strengthen the competitiveness of companies operating in the Azerbaijan market, to support the improvement of corporate management of business entities, human resources, liquidity and capital management, thereby contributing to the development of the country's business environment.
The "Best Managed Companies Azerbaijan" project is a unique opportunity to promote the successes of leading Azerbaijani companies working in the private sector with an annual income of more than AZN 20 million in the local market and in the international arena. This platform creates opportunities for the business community of Azerbaijan to share knowledge and experience, to recognize companies that attach importance to the principles of sustainable development in the market, and to integrate them into the international business environment. The winners of the competition join the "Best Managed Companies" international company network and are included in the list of world famous companies.
As a result of the close cooperation of "PASHA Bank" and "Deloitte" company, a total of about 40 companies participated in this competition held in Azerbaijan since 2021, and 5 companies were awarded the title of "Best Managed Companies Azerbaijan". These companies are "METAK" and "Veysaloglu Group of Companies", which won two years in a row, "SABA", which won for the first time in 2022, and "AVRORA Group" and "NORM Cement" companies, which won for the first time in 2023. This year's sponsors of the competition are "PASHA Bank" and "Deloitte Private", partners are Entrepreneurship Development Fund, AmCham Azerbaijan, ADA University and Ictimai Television.
The "Best Managed Companies" award program was established in 1993 by "Deloitte Private" in Canada. To date, the project, known as a prestigious business award program, is implemented in 46 countries. This includes China, the United States, Southeast Asia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Turkiye, Mexico and Chile.
