The next "Zero Waste" solidarity marathon was held on the banks of Kura river
The "Zero waste" marathon launched by the "Red Hearts Foundation" on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of "Kapital Bank" continues.
The project, which aims to increase people's sensitivity to environmental protection and to protect nature, was implemented this time in the village of Varvara, Yevlakh region, on the banks of Kura river. More than 50 volunteers from the bank's branch network covering the Central Aran economic region participated in the marathon.
During the event, the area was cleared of 753 kilograms of plastic and harmful waste.
Nihad Salmanli, vice-president of the "Red Hearts Foundation", expressing his opinion within the marathon, noted that these indicators are a valuable contribution to the protection and cleanliness of the environment: "Nature protection is one of our main directions as a Foundation. I am thankful to all our volunteers who supported us on this way. We are gathered to bequeath a healthier world to our future generations. For this, it is enough for people to be informed, to understand their personal responsibilities, to start protecting nature from their own environment."
It should be noted that "Red Hearts Foundation" was established in 2019 on the initiative of the volunteer employees of "Kapital Bank".
The Foundation, which was registered with the state in 2020, serves the formation of the culture of donation in our country. The highest goal of "Red Hearts", which comes up with social initiatives on sensitive and important issues of society, such as environmental protection, restoration of ecological balance, education, training and awareness, is to unite helpful people around the culture of charity.
