New social project in Sheki: 30 people will learn art and get a job

A new project has been launched in Sheki for almost a month by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

The State Employment Agency implements projects aimed at acquiring professions in various art fields of family members of martyrs and veterans. One such project is being realized in Sheki together with TEM-ART Art Center.

Based on the project of the TEM-ART Art Center, about 30 members of family members of martyrs and veterans, as well as low-income families, learn various professions here. The center organizes separate training and courses for teenagers and young people who are interested in art.

According to the head of the project, artist Elmar Mammadzadeh, training and courses have been held at the TEM-ART Art Center with the joint organization of the Sheki department of the State Employment Agency and Ganja State Vocational Training Center.

Project participants Konul Salimova and Javahir Abdulaliyeva were registered as housewives at Sheki regional branch of the State Employment Agency. When the Art Center started training, they were offered a paid job. Now they receive a monthly stipend of AZN 345 and also study art.

Project leader Elmar Mammadzadeh says that the Art Center currently has branches in five different locations, and attendees receive trainings relevant to the art they are studying. After two months, the training will be completed and certificates will be presented to them. Later, work will be done with local entrepreneurs in order to provide employment to the attendees.

The project will continue until the end of the year. So, in the next stage, more students will be accepted and they will be taught various professions. In addition to modern arts, measures will be taken to keep ancient arts alive.
