"Misli" continues to support Azerbaijani football
Azerbaijan Premier League will be held under the sponsorship of "Misli" for one more season.
The term of the title sponsorship agreement between the Professional Football League and "Misli" brand of the legal lottery organizer and sports betting operator "Azalotereya" of Azerbaijan has been extended. According to the agreement, "Misli" will be the main sponsor of the Azerbaijan Premier League in the 2024/2025 season, and the national championship will be called "Misli Premier League".
The agreement between the parties was signed at an event with the participation of officials. The signing ceremony was attended by AFFA President Rovshan Najaf, Yıldırım Demirören, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Demirören Holding", Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye to the Republic of Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci, AFFA, PFL, "Azerlotereya" OJSC and football club officials.
Speaking at the event, AFFA President Rovshan Najaf first congratulated the "Karabakh", "Sabah" and "Zira" clubs on the passing of the European Cups and Azerbaijani athletes winning 2 gold medals at the "Paris-2024" Summer Olympic Games.
The president of AFFA said that cooperation with "Misli" will make the championship more interesting, competition will increase and most importantly, it will help fans to come to the stadiums. He called on other companies and businessmen to support Azerbaijani football.
Yıldırım Demirören, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Demirören Holding", who spoke at the ceremony, expressed his belief that the agreement will contribute to the even more successful representation of Azerbaijani football in the international arena. He said that cooperation will serve the implementation of important projects for the development of football.
Later, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Cahit Bagci, drew attention to the importance of sports in all areas of public life, and shared his views on the importance of supporting sports clubs and increasing efforts towards the development of all types of sports, and in this regard, he highly praised the sponsorship agreement involving Demirören Holding, he emphasized that he considers it valuable and meaningful.
In the end, the parties signed the contract. The contract was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Azerlotereya" OJSC Osman Karakus and the interim president of the Professional Football League, Elgiz Abasov.
