"Let's protect the Caspian Sea!" a broad environmental movement is taking place

Coca-Cola and its partners are holding a large-scale ecological "Let's Protect the Caspian Sea!" (“Xəzəri Qoruyaq!”) campaign covering the coast of the Caspian Sea.

Dozens of partner enterprises and their employees representing state institutions, private sector and public organizations are conducting a voluntary campaign to clean the shores of the Caspian Sea from waste.

The campaign, which started on September 1, will cover all Caspian beaches from Khachmaz to Astara and will end on September 16 with the final event at Bilgah beach.

The environmental action with the slogan "Let's protect the Caspian Sea!" is organized within the framework of the International Coastal Cleanup Day, which is celebrated all over the world. The purpose of the campaign is to improve the ecological situation in the country, to educate the population in this field and to promote the habits of a responsible approach to the environment. The waste collected during the campaign is sorted and sent for recycling. The main partners of the project are Coca-Cola, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, "EcoHub" environmental platform, "Carlsberg Azerbaijan", "PASHA Bank", "Bakcell", "SOCAR Trading" and "McDonald's" companies.

Organizations actively participating in the campaign with their employees and members include "ASAN Volunteers" Organization, "Təmiz Şəhər" OJSC, US Embassy in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Judo Federation, American-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce, ADRA, Baku International Sea Trade Port, "LU-MUN" Holding, Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union, Azerbaijan Scouts Association, Youth Development and Career Center, Azerbaijan Journalists' Network and Azerbaijani Students and Alumni Platform (ASAP) and its members that are alumni from USA, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary and China.
