IBA helped 9 families in Nakhchivan to establish small businesses
Within the self-employment program, IBA supported 9 families in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to establish a small business. Thus, the number of families supported by IBA under the self-employment program reached 146.
Based on the self-employment program implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, low-income families are provided with production or service equipment in accordance with their business plans. IBA supports the self-employment of vulnerable population groups within the framework of the corresponding program of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, as well as the Memorandum signed between the Ministry and the Central Bank and Azerbaijan Banks Association. Those families were identified by the State Employment Service.
The goal is to create conditions for families to start a small business or develop their existing business. The uniqueness of the program is that no cash is allocated to citizens, the assistance provided is purely business-oriented and aimed at permanent employment. IBA also actively participates in this program based on its intention to support small and medium-sized businesses and sustainable development goals.
