Global Media Group's contribution to Azerbaijan's nature: "Each of us should join these actions"
"Global Management" held a tree planting campaign within the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World".
The initiative of "Global Media Group", with the participation of "Global Management" and other companies included in the group, and with support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, organized a tree planting action in Mushfigabad settlement of Garadagh region.
A number of executives and media representatives participated in the event organized for the purpose of environmental sustainability, greening and protection of the environment.
Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov, who participated in the tree-planting action, told that more than half a million trees are planned to be planted across the country by the end of the year:
"In 2024, it is planned to hold massive tree planting actions in the country. Since February, tree-planting actions have been taking place on the Absheron peninsula, as well as in other areas. Representatives of local executive authorities and other relevant institutions also participate in this work. On the Absheron Peninsula, pine and olive trees, which can adapt well to local climate conditions, have been planted.
Our goal is to plant half a million trees in the country by the end of the year. Most of these works will be carried out in the areas under the balance of the forest development service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. Our aim is to increase green areas in the country. These areas are equipped with drip irrigation systems. More than 95 percent of the trees planted on the Absheron Peninsula have already yielded positive results."
In her statement, director of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Department of "Global Assurance", Gunel Qureishi pointed out that 2024 has been declared the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" in Azerbaijan, and said that it is important for everyone to participate in initiatives for the sake of a green world:
"I thank "Global Media Group" for this action. In connection with the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World", each of us should join these actions and implement joint projects to make our capital Baku green. I would like to thank all the companies and management staff who joined this campaign. We are very pleased to participate in the environmental action organized by "Global Media Group" to strengthen our environmental awareness and sustainable development activities."
Laura Seyidbeyova, director of the Marketing and Sales Department of "Global Management", said that the action was organized for the purpose of environmental sustainability:
"The action carried out with the participation of "Global Media Group", "Global Management" and other companies included in the group serves to protect nature. It directly organizes the sustainability policy of "Global Management". The campaign is one of our series of events. Such measures are planned to be implemented in the future as well."
