Expressbank contributes to children's financial literacy

"Expressbank" has launched another important initiative to increase financial literacy.

The bank, as a supporter of "Mənim kitab daxılım" ("My book box") project, contributed to development of budgeting skills in children as part of the 4th Children's Book Festival held in our capital, organized by the Azerbaijan Publishers Association PU, Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Culture and the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. With this project, "Expressbank" emphasized not only the creation of a budget in children, but also its proper spending.

Within the framework of the project, 50,000 specially designed "book boxes" were printed and distributed starting two months before the festival. Also, support was provided for the distribution of boxes in "Expressbank" branches located in the capital during the period before the festival. At the same time, these boxes, distributed in educational institutions of the capital and nearby regions, aim to stimulate the formation of both a love for books and personal financial habits in children. The main goal of the project is to develop children's budgeting skills from an early age and to create an initial understanding of the value of money in them.

As part of the "Professions Day" of the festival, an "Expressbank" employee, representing the "Banker" profession, gave an interactive seminar on the topic "Emergence and Evolution of Money". During the seminar, children were told about the history of money, its changing forms, and importance of finance in modern times. At the end of the seminar, three children who showed activity in the small quiz organized were awarded with special gifts and certificates by "Expressbank" and "Epay".

It should be noted that "Expressbank" is particularly sensitive to the financial literacy of different age groups of society within the framework of corporate social responsibility and attaches importance to the promotion of correct financial habits from an early age with child-oriented initiatives.
