Environmental initiatives supporter Eco Hub organizes event within COP29

The Public Association for Support of Environmental Initiatives "Eco Hub" held a side event on the theme "Cooperation in solving environmental issues: the role of NGOs in environmental activities of companies" within COP29 in the pavilion of the National NGO Forum located in the "Green" zone on November 11, 2024.

Secretary of the Public Council under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Chairperson of "Eco Hub" Tukazban Agababaeva stated that the goal is to inform the wide audience about the important role of NGOs in solving environmental problems and emphasize the importance of NGO cooperation in the environmental policy of companies.

Panel discussions on “Public-private partnership in addressing environmental issues in Azerbaijan”, “Circular economy: joint approaches to effective waste management in Azerbaijan”, and “Water security - partnership for sustainable water resources management” were organized at the side event, and detailed exchange of opinions took place.

The event proposed practical solutions for strengthening environmental activities within the framework of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and emphasized the long-term socio-economic consequences of this cooperation.
