EcoHub successfully implements environmental initiatives with its partners

After the COP29 period, Public Association for Support of Environmental Initiatives "Eco Hub" continues to contribute to the formation of an ecological culture in Azerbaijan through environmental education and practical initiatives. In this direction, 2 projects have been implemented at the initiative of EcoHub, with the support of SOCAR Trading and Coca-Cola companies.
At the initiative of EcoHub and in partnership with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, sorting boxes have been placed in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions to provide additional support for the collection of plastic waste.
The project is implemented in partnership with the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan and its main goal is to reduce the harm of plastic waste to the environment, develop a culture of sorting among students and increase environmental responsibility.
In addition, at the initiative of EcoHub, the "Green Talks" Podcast series has been broadcast in order to raise public awareness in this area by discussing various aspects of environmental issues. This project, supported by SOCAR Trading and Coca-Cola companies within the framework of corporate social responsibility, explains global environmental problems in a local context.
The 12-episode series, which began airing during COP29 in 2024, addressed topics such as biodiversity, circular economy, waste management, corporate social responsibility, and COP29. Hosted by Eco Hub Chairwoman Tukez Huseynova, the series was attended by SOCAR representatives, well-known experts, and specialists.
The project has been met with widespread interest on social media. "GreenTalks" has reached a total of more than 1.2 million viewers.
Both initiatives are part of Eco Hub's purposeful activities to engage different segments of society in environmental issues and drive positive behavioral change for a sustainable future.
