The “Change waste to gifts” festival was held with the support of the country's leading corporate financial institution “PASHA Bank” and organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
The event, which took place on April 22 - International Earth Day, aimed to educate the population in the field of proper waste management. During the campaign, citizens handed over 3481 liters of glass, 1040 liters of plastic waste, and 831 used batteries, and were given various gifts in return. Within the framework of the festival, participants were presented with a musical program, educational games for children on waste sorting, drawing on eco-bags, and various master classes.
The festival, which started in 2024 and has been organized many times, encourages a more responsible approach to the environment in society by showing that waste can be recycled and turned into a valuable resource.
It should be noted that the bank, which mobilizes its efforts for an ecologically clean future, is an active participant in a number of initiatives aimed at nature conservation and environmental protection. “PASHA Bank” became a member of the “UN Global Compact” in 2023. The bank’s “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy for 2024-2026” is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of that global initiative. Among those SDGs, the area of “Fighting Climate Change” occupies a special place, and the bank is expanding its activities in this direction in the current strategic period.
