Caring for nature: "McDonald's Azerbaijan" is launching an environmental project for boarding school students
As it is known, 2024 was declared the "Green World Solidarity Year" in Azerbaijan by the decree of the head of the country.
At the same time, taking into account that a large-scale COP29 event will be held in Azerbaijan this year, a large number of environmental projects are being implemented in our country. One of them is the "Eco-Ambassadors" initiative implemented jointly by "McDonald's Azerbaijan" company and "Care Group" company. In the framework of the project, educational and practical seminars will be held for students of a boarding school.
More than 100 teenagers from boarding school No. 11 will participate in the project, which will continue until the end of the year.
The main goal of the project is to conduct environmental education among teenagers and increase awareness of important environmental problems. This initiative will help to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment in the younger generation.
Thus, within the framework of the project, various events, including educational seminars on ecology, installation of boxes and containers for plastic waste, tree planting and beach cleaning campaigns, development of small environmental projects by young people and other works will be carried out in Baku city and the surrounding areas. These hands-on activities will help to develop specific skills among teenagers.
For the implementation of the project, personal educational software will be developed in consultation with environmental experts and teachers.
All these events will be carried out together with the employees of "McDonald's Azerbaijan" company. Environmental protection has always been among the priorities of the company, and this is reflected in many aspects of its activities. This includes implementing innovative solutions to minimize waste, reducing the use of plastic, switching to more environmentally friendly packaging, toy materials, etc. In this way, the company contributes to the development of a more sustainable business and preservation of our planet for future generations.
