"Best Managed Companies Azerbaijan 2025" competition has been announced
The "Best Managed Companies Azerbaijan 2025" competition, implemented in partnership with the country's leading corporate financial institution "PASHA Bank" and "Deloitte Azerbaijan", has been announced.
The importance of the initiative and the joint efforts of the partners were once again emphasized at the official event held as part of the presentation ceremony.
This business competition aims to promote Azerbaijan's leading private companies and promote excellent management practices. The Best Managed Companies project is one of the flagship programs offered by Deloitte Private, a special division of Deloitte focused on private companies. The program is implemented in Azerbaijan under the sponsorship of "Deloitte Private" and "PASHA Bank". Entrepreneurship Development Fund, ADA University, AMCHAM Azerbaijan and Public Television participate in the project as partners.
Nuran Karimov, Managing Partner of Deloitte Azerbaijan, noted with great satisfaction that the "Best Managed Companies" project is entering its fourth year in Azerbaijan.
"Our main goal is to support the development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan. Many opportunities and advantages are provided for private companies participating in this business competition. Within the project, Deloitte experts evaluate the management systems of the participating companies, share international best practices with them and provide useful advice. Winners are selected by an independent jury consisting of people selected for their professionalism in Azerbaijan. We invite private companies in our country to participate in this prestigious competition," said Karimov.
In his turn, Chairman of the Board of PASHA Bank, Javid Guliyev, noted that the competition is important in terms of promoting leading management practices in the business world of Azerbaijan.
"We, as "PASHA Bank", are proud of the contribution of this program to development of the business environment in Azerbaijan. We believe that this competition will support our companies to build excellent management systems in accordance with international standards and will continue to contribute to the healthy and sustainable development of Azerbaijan's economy," said Guliyev.
The "Best Managed Companies" award program was established in Canada in 1993 and has been successfully implemented to this day and is recognized as the country's most prestigious business award program. Apart from Azerbaijan and Canada, this project is currently implemented in 46 countries. This includes China, the United States, Southeast Asia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Turkiye, Mexico and Chile.
A total of about 40 companies participated in this competition, held in Azerbaijan since 2021, and 9 companies were awarded the title of "Best Managed Companies Azerbaijan". These companies are Araz Supermarket chain, AVRORA Group, Azerconnect Group, Bridge Group of Companies, Embawood, NORM Cement, SABA, Veysaloglu Group of Companies, which won two years in a row, and METAK, which won three years in a row.
