"AzerGold" CJSC was once again awarded the National CSR Award
"AzerGold" Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) was once again awarded the National CSR Award.
The award was presented to "AzerGold" CJSC for the project "Support for the individual development of persons with autism spectrum disorder", which was launched in 2022 in partnership with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and "Birge va Sağlam" Public Union. The joint-stock company was declared the winner in the competition in the nomination "Good health and welfare", which is one of the sustainable development goals of the UN.
It should be noted that within the framework of the mentioned project, the regional Autism Center was commissioned in Ganja in 2023. To date, 75 children with autism living in Ganja city, Dashkasan, Goygol, Goranboy, Shamkir and Tovuz regions have been provided rehabilitation services in accordance with international standards free of charge, and 150 people suffering from autism have undergone initial diagnostic evaluation.
In total, 60 projects were submitted to the competition by 35 companies and organizations operating in Azerbaijan. 7 projects were awarded the "National CSR Award-2022" by the competition commission represented by the Ministries of Economy, Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Science and Education, Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovations and other institutions.
It should be noted that "AzerGold" CJSC was awarded the National CSR Award for the first time in 2019. "AzerGold", the first state company to receive this award, was awarded in 2019 for the training project on "Adaptation of individual agricultural entities to climate change" implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation together with the "Regional Development" Public Union. The project was declared the winner in the "National CSR Award-2019" competition in the nomination "Combating Climate Change", which is one of the sustainable development goals of the UN.
