"AzerGold" CJSC and the State Employment Agency started the implementation of the project to increase the employment of women in Dashkasan

"AzerGold" Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) and the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population have started the implementation of the project "Increasing the employment of women in Dashkasan region".

The project aims to increase the competitiveness of women living in the villages near "Chovdar" gold mine of CJSC, their acquisition of new professions, employment of low-income housewives and development of micro-entrepreneurship.

For this purpose, in the trainings conducted by the specialists of "AzerGold" CJSC and the State Employment Agency, women were given detailed information about the current professional fields in the labor market, the procedure for registration in employment centers, available vacancies, conditions for admission to vocational training institutions, and the self-employment program. Training participants were also educated on the topics of career planning, discovering potential, researching market opportunities, building an action plan, job search tools, and preparing for an interview.

During the training, many questions of the participants were answered, they were told in detail about the electronic recruitment system of "AzerGold" CJSC, the recruitment of candidates for vacant positions by the examination method, at the same time, possibilities of using the services provided by the State Employment Agency, and how women can benefit from these services.

In the next stage of the project, it is planned to take the necessary steps to involve women whose knowledge and skills are considered acceptable to the professional activity and self-employment program in the relevant directions by the State Employment Agency with the support of "AzerGold" JSC.

It should be noted that 2 of women who participated in the trainings within the framework of the project implemented from 2023 and who applied officially to the State Employment Agency were provided with a job in the relevant profession, 1 person was assigned a job, and 1 other person was placed on the waiting list. In addition, 3 people were provided with assets under the livestock envelope of the self-employment program, 3 more people were recruited, and 1 person was directed to vocational training.
