Azercell supports four projects empowering women’s societal role
The final stage of the social project competition aimed at enhancing women's participation in public life has concluded. The jury prioritized projects focusing on sustainability, broad social impact, and the integration of digital solutions to improve quality of life.
Out of over 30 submitted projects, five made it to the final round, each emphasizing key areas like entrepreneurship, education, and economic empowerment. Non-governmental and non-profit organizations presented their initiatives to the jury, highlighting the societal significance of their projects.
The jury selected four projects:
· “STEM education support for talented young women from low-income families” by the “Huma Quşu” Education Assistance Foundation, which supports women at their bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.
· “Women and business,” a program organized by the Balans Public Association from Sheki, offers practical entrepreneurship experience for women.
· “Establishing a network of women entrepreneurs within correctional facilities” an initiative of the “Return of Convicted Women to Society” Public Association.
· “FarmHER,” a project by the “Alternative Communications and Research” Public Association, aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills for women in agriculture.
Azercell has allocated a total of 30,000 AZN to support the implementation of these impactful projects.
To ensure a transparent and objective selection process the competition entries were evaluated by a panel of Azerbaijani experts in the relevant fields.
