Azerbaijan Insurers Association held a charity event
Azerbaijan Insurers Association (ASA) held a charity event within the UN project.
Azerbaijan Insurers Association joined the UN's initiative to implement projects within the framework of "Combating child labour exploitation" and successfully concluded the charity campaign organized for the third year.
According to information from ASA, local insurance companies "Ateshgah" Insurance Company OJSC, "AzSığorta" OJSC, "Xalq Life" Insurance Company OJSC, "Qala Life Insurance" OJSC, "Qala Insurance" OJSC, "Meqa Life Insurance" OJSC, "Mega Insurance" OJSC, "PASHA Life Insurance" OJSC and "PASHA Insurance" OJSC also participated in the charity campaign launched by the Association with the motto "For a healthier and more insured future".
As part of the charity project, school supplies and custom-made school uniforms collected on the basis of donations from insurance companies were delivered to low-income families, children of martyrs and veterans, as well as a total of 130 schoolchildren in children's shelters.
Such corporate social responsibility projects will be regularly implemented in the next period with the support of insurance companies.
It should be noted that according to the report, the labor of about 160 million children is exploited in the world today.
