ADA University Foundation has implemented an event dedicated to the effective management of water resources and tree planting

With the support of ADA University, University Foundation (ADAF) and "Coca-Cola" Foundation, an event dedicated to water conservation and tree planting was held in secondary school number 39.

Volunteers, students and staff of ADA University met with 38 students studying in the third grade of that school and informed them about ways to use water efficiently.

The university informed that in the first part of the two-part event, an educational activity was carried out for children based on the fairy tale "Leyli and the Little Man's Secret". This story, written by Gunel Askerova, manager of the Student Services Department of ADA University, is dedicated to nature, tree planting, and water conservation within the framework of the "Maarif izila" project. During the presentation with the participation of students, parents and school staff, schoolchildren discussed the importance of nature for our planet, the importance of saving water, taking care of trees and plants.

In the later part of the event, practical activities were carried out. With the help of gardeners working at ADA University, 40 fruit trees were planted in the school yard, and an orchard was presented to the school. Each student took responsibility for caring for a planted tree.

Firuza Ismayil Aliyeva, head of ADAF's sponsorship projects department, said: "Protection of water resources and their efficient use is the responsibility of each of us. Educating society, especially minors, in this direction is our civic duty. The role of both the young generation with higher education and our partners like Coca-Cola is very important in this matter."

It should be noted that this event and the tree planting campaign carried out in connection with the efficient management of water resources coincide with the obligations we have taken as the host of COP29 as a country.
