A tree planting campaign dedicated to the 145th anniversary of ADY was held

Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) held a tree-planting campaign near Sabunchu station on April 8. ADY released information about this.
It was stated that the main goal of the campaign dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the company is to promote environmental protection among employees and draw attention to environmental problems.
In the campaign, which was attended by more than 100 employees, about 500 pine trees were planted and watered, including Eldar pine, an endemic species and listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In addition, landscaping and cleaning works were carried out in the area.
In order to create a green zone along the railway lines, ADY continuously organizes tree-planting campaigns in the areas of various service areas of the organization in the spring-autumn seasons.
It should be noted that ADY, which has been a member of the UN Global Compact since 2023, bases its activities on the principles of environmental, social responsibility and governance (ESG). Thus, the institution aims to increase awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals and expand its role in the implementation of "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development" by involving young employees in the events it organizes in this direction.
