A hackathon "Ensuring sustainable employment of youth" has been launched

Under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, a hackathon "Ensuring sustainable employment of youth" was launched under the joint organization of the State Employment Agency and the Youth Foundation.

According to the information provided by the Agency's Strategic Communication Department, the purpose of the two-day hackathon is to expand employment opportunities for young people, develop new innovative solutions, support mechanisms and new program projects in the field of forming a workforce in line with the requirements of the labor market, and increase teamwork and research skills among young people.

At the opening event of the hackathon, the Chairman of the Agency's Board of Directors, Mustafa Abbasbeyli, noted that the comprehensive development of youth is the main goal of the state youth policy, and drew attention to the work done to ensure youth employment. It was emphasized that their preparation for the future labor market is of particular importance.

Gadir Khalilov, acting as an executive director of the Youth Foundation, noted that a number of projects are being implemented between the two institutions and the importance of those projects in ensuring the employment of young people.

In total, 11 teams are participating in the hackathon. They should prepare and present a project on "Ensuring sustainable employment of youth" within 2 days.

According to the rules, every member of the team should be involved in the process, proposals should cover the young target population and be aimed at solution of the relevant issue, should cover cities and regions outside of Baku, and the proposed projects should be new.

Teams will be supported by a mentor group consisting of representatives of the State Employment Agency in the implementation of the process.

Projects will be evaluated by a jury and various gifts and certificates will be presented to the winners.
