6th week of "Yay Fest" youth festival wraps up in Azerbaijan
“Yay Fest”, attended by more than 2,000 young people, continues successfully. The 6th camp of the festival, which began in a fun, educational, and dynamic atmosphere, has concluded.
The main goal of "Yay Fest," held in a tent camp format under the motto "Together Towards a Greener Future!", is to popularize the wide range of opportunities created for young people in various fields in line with the state youth policy. The festival also aims to promote youth development, provide effective and enjoyable leisure activities, unite young people from different regions, and support their socialization.
Given the importance of 2024 being declared the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" in Azerbaijan by President Ilham Aliyev, and the significance of hosting the prestigious COP29 event in Azerbaijan, this year's camp topics focused on ecology, environmental protection, and COP29.
The 6th "Yay Fest" camp, held from August 19 to 23, was unforgettable, fun, and educational for the young participants. Ecological games, panel discussions with famous bloggers, teamwork activities, hikes, and fun events organized in nature provided the youth with both an interesting and educational experience. Camp participants also met peers from different regions, made new friends, and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of networking and communication. The dynamic and engaging program developed for the youth contributed to their leisure time as well as to their personal and professional development.
The trainings and interactive events conducted by the IDEA Public Association at the camp not only raised environmental awareness among the youth but also encouraged them to take a responsible approach to environmental safety.
Additionally, experts from the Azerbaijani operating company for COP29 organized intensive trainings on various topics, such as sustainable development, environmental protection, and climate change mitigation.
The summer festival is infused with a youthful atmosphere, offering numerous entertainment and learning opportunities to create a dynamic environment. This year, "Yay Fest" is being held with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, IDEA Public Association, COP29 Presidium, the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan, CAVAN Youth Movement Public Association, and Young Volunteers Public Association.
